The Batman Must Come Back.

We had the chance to watch The Dark Knight Rises last night. And what can I say, it was awesome.
Not the EPICOMGTHATWASSOOOOOFREAKINGGREAT kind but I liked it anyway. Though I think The Dark Knight was better.

As usual, Christopher Nolan did an amazing job on it. He never fails.

As to the characters/actors, I am more than amused that the Inception cast was there (Tom Hardy, Marion Cotillard, Cillian Murphy, JGL). Marion Cotillard was flawless. I love her.

I also kept gushing about the character crossovers like Morgan Freeman for example. I always associate him as God because he plays that character well and whenever he's on screen as Lucius Fox, I am already optimistic that good things will happen. Haha!

And Liam Neeson! THE freaking Liam Neeson. He is the epitome of E-P-I-C. He's Qui-gon Jinn, Oskar Schindler, Aslan, Zeus. In our words, siya na!
When he appeared as Ra's Al Ghul and said the word "taken", my brain went ballistic.

I now understand why Christian Bale is good as Batman, whenever he's on the suit, I can see Michael Keaton in him. Michael Keaton is the best Batman of all time. :D

Alfred on the other hand, I had too many feels for him. I have love for protective characters. He has the same love I have for Agent Coulton.

Bane was badass. Nuff' said. But he needs subtitles sometimes. I couldn't understand what he's saying. :))

Catwoman. Hm. Anne was beautiful as Catwoman. And she has that sultry voice. But I didn't feel her as Catwoman. I always think of Catwoman as swift, sleek, sexy and with a badass attitude. Her fighting scenes weren't too spontaneous for me, she kicks then poses (something like that). But that's me. I want my fighting scenes adrenaline pumping.

And of course, my Gordon-Levitt was so perfect as John Blake. And I loved how his character was revealed in the end. :") I loved him since 10 Things I Hate About You. He's really good, every character he plays becomes him and he takes on different roles and gives it justice every single time. Whoops. This is already becoming the Joseph Gordon-Levitt Appreciation Post. Haha! :P

And last thing, Batman's  Batpod Motorcycle -- oh boy, I love you. SRSLY. I will beg and grovel to take a ride on this baby. Yes, I have this unexplainable desire to ride motorcycles, them big and dangerous ones. But I don't even even know how to drive a scooter. *le fail~*

Overall, The Dark Knight Rises was nothing short of everyone's expectations. Good job, Nolan!
After The Avengers, The Amazing Spiderman and then The Dark Knight Rises, I think my 2012 been super already!

Tangled.

Welcome back Disney magic. Your touch to fairytales is alive again. I've already watched Tangled weeks before it was even released in cinemas and I instantly fell in love with it -- that I swore to see it on the big screen when it comes out and in 3D ofcrs.

It still made me cry and gave me goosebumps when they released all the floating lanterns.
My heart stopped (this might have happened to the other hopeless romantics too, raise yer hands if so) at the floating lanterns scene. ♥ If I could just witness something close to it or my dream of seeing a lot of fireflies at night, I will die a happy soul. True.
I suggest you give it a watch. It's a new view to the traditional Rapunzel story that we've grown up together with but this time the story is a fresher and lovelier one. :)
Would've loved it more if I was able to see it on the big screen with you though, since this movie is our favorite (and we shall adopt Pascal, yes?) -- our future movie marathon will have to suffice that in due time. I'm looking forward to it.

Flynn Rider: You were my new dream.
Rapunzel: And you were mine.

Rocket Science

Rocket Science” is about a kid in high school who doesn’t fit in. He stutters, has a kleptomaniac older brother, and their parents are about to separate. Nothing in his life is going well. Enter the first girl who has ever paid attention to him. She’s on the debate team and while he stutters, she thinks he would be a perfect fit as a new member of the club. Obviously the kid is interested and attempts with great difficultly to try and break his speech issues and impress the girl. Unfortunately nothing is as simple as wanting something to happen. (from Collider)

★ The movie was alright, I got bored at some parts though. But I liked the quirks of the movie, how his klepto brother acts, the quirky characters, how debating can be a crazy and oh, Nicholas D'Agosto. I might just need to give it another run. This time, more seriously.

"It's one of those two, love or revenge, I'm not really sure which one. But it's one of those two that made me throw a cello through somebody's window, so you figure it out."

"It's all so pointless. That's the realization I came to at States last year. Life is nothing but repetition, the same thing over and over. Somebody might give you a trophy and that's supposed to mean you're making progress but there's no such thing. The fights you fight today are the fights you fight untill you die."
