The Frog King.

Two things I spent over for yesterday. A spray-on anti-perspirant because I was lured in by the pretty canister. Pretty canisters are a hard to resist. And also the book entitled "the frog king". It was on sale at National Bookstore for 50 php and it says it's a love story. I'm a sucker for such..and also nice and bright book covers.

I started with a few chapters last night and the moment I woke up this morning I resumed my reading.
I missed days like this and I'm glad to be back on it. Now I need new readings to keep me company on Sundays.

"Harry Driscoll is living in New York City (if you call trying to survive on an editorial assistant's salary living).
His family is wealthy (but Harry Driscoll is not).
His education is Ivy League (but what good is it doing him?).
His publishing job is entry-level (with no exit in sight).
BUT Harry Driscoll has a dream (if you call an unfinished manuscript hidden in the closet a dream).
Harry Driscoll has a girl (although intercourse is out of the question).
Harry Driscoll even has feelings. (He asked this girl, one day in the park, to be in his life forever...and meant it.)
And the other girls?
They're not the problem. (The problem is, Harry Driscoll cannot allow himself to say the word love.)
THE FROG KING (This is not a fairy tale). "

That's what was written at the back cover of the book. And it was a good read. I loved how things went with Harry and Evie, and how sweet they were and seemed perfect for each another. But then when things went all, I don't know, weepy for me... See the tear marks on the book? Yes, it made me cry. That I even have to stop reading and continue crying until I felt okay again to read (good grief, how emotional I could get). But how I wish someone would do the cannonball with me too and Rapunzel treats when I'm sick.

And I guess my being editorial staff and doing proofreading every now and then, I kept reading the book and making corrections in my head just the way it goes at work. It amuses me how my work transpires in my daily life.

And I get to toast this afternoon for merienda. :) Bread and melted cheese.

And there's my brother trying to hide his face from the camera, because he doesn't want to be seen. But those are the toast with melted cheese I am talking about -- it's taaaasty. *nomnomnom*
