Earlier this week, the reality of growing up slapped me in the face. I thought working, expanding relationships, growing responsibilities, a battle of semi-quarter life crisis every now and then, shuffled priorities and everything in between are the best of what growing up can give. But I guess not. For me and my beloved friends, we are all just starting to grow up.
Lea, a very close friend of mine, more of a sister actually, told me the news that she's leaving the country to work in Indonesia. The first thing that came to mind was, "Wow, that's good news." Well, for her. It is a very good opportunity for her and I know she deserves it more than anything. But honestly, it was a sad news for me. We're the best travel buddies together with Vince, Lei was one of those people who, during my saddest times, was always there for me. And I just can't take the fact that we won't be seeing each other for a long time. :( I know I will certainly miss her a lot, miss our random night outs, eat outs and everything else.
But I always believe in "There's a reason for everything." That's why I'm choosing to just be happy for Lei and I always believe in "If there's a will, there's a way." I'm worried we won't see each other but there will always be Skype and my love for travelling is a good excuse to visit her in Indonesia, we won't be able to talk to each other physically but there's BBM and Twitter.
I'm happy and sad at the same time to see us at this stage of life. Hm, maybe mostly happy because we've reached this far altogether. :)
To Lea, I know you will do best there! :) We're always here for you to support you all the way. And I hope to see you real soon! And more life adventures with you, Vince and the SuperFriends. I will always be praying for you. You take care there! Me loves you!
Distance won't stop us. We will still travel! This is still our year!

My SuperFriends. I am excited and anxious to see us all grow but I am confident that each of us are in good hands and we will grow up as responsible, good adults who have the youngest of hearts. We're on our way and so forward we shall march. :)
